WEBMD FOR HEALTH

I've gotten to really enjoy the internet site WEBMD. We are used to going to the doctor for important achs and painsletting the Doctor in charge of the entire process of diagnosis and treatment. Lately, this has been changing with the new emphasis on the greater patient involvement in the process. Now it is common for people to look on the internet for medical answers of all types, physical symptoms, medicines, and ways to keep well. This doesn't make the Doctor less important, rather better knowledge by the patient makes the entire process more effective.

The website, http://www.webmd.com/ provides all kinds of useful health assistance. I found this out recently when my wife spoke of pains in her legs. She has varicose veins form frequently standing in her job,but now, she was getting severe pains. She went to her Doctor. I looked on the site and found her symptoms while her Doctor gave the diagnosis of phlebitis. I found the symptoms that matched hers and the treatment options. This information helped both of us to know what to expect and to scedule an appointment with a vascular specialist.

I came upon one section on diets. I took a convenient survey there and found excellent suggestions and diagnoses. The site features the following abundance:
Symptom Checker , Search WebMD . Drug Information Search . Health Video Library Find a Doctor Personal Health Manager and a convenient Quick Links to More Areas on WebMD: Home Page News Center Health Topics A - Z Message Boards & Blogse offers much.
